Safeguarding children and vulnerable people is particularly relevant now as more coaching and activity takes place online. This requires leaders of clubs and coaches to understand what good practice looks like and have the confidence to implement changes to practice where needed.
Safeguarding training will continue throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with UK Coaching now offering the course through interactive online classrooms. The course, priced £30, will cover good coaching practice, and how to recognise and respond to possible signs of child abuse. You can find out more about the Safeguarding & Protecting Children (Online Classroom) course here. Archery GB encourages club officials and coaches to take part in safeguarding training every three years.
