John is an Electrical Mechanical Engineer from Stafford who has returned to the world class para programme. He first got into archery when he was inspired by watching USA's Matt Stutzman in the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Four years later, he qualified for a Paralympic Games in Rio 2016, where he came away with two medals: individual W1 open men's gold, and W1 open mixed team gold. He was also awarded an MBE for his services to the sport.
Having now returned to the squad, his goal is to get to the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
