Role title:

Performance Pathway Manager (Maternity Cover)

Salary Range: 

£30,000 – 35,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the future success of Archery GB.

Archery GB, the National Governing Body for archery, is seeking a Performance Pathway Manager for a period of maternity cover (minimum of 8 months).

The postholder will develop and maintain the Performance Pathway that identifies, nurtures and develops archery athletes who have the potential to win medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and major senior championships.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and ensuring the strategic and operational delivery of Olympic and Paralympic Pathways
  • Leading on talent identification and development
  • Providing comprehensive programme and people management for the Pathways (England and Northern Ireland) including coach and staff development
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Using research, data and insight to ensure the Pathways lead on best practice and innovation
  • Ensuring best practice on reporting and governance compliance throughout the Pathways

We are looking for applicants with:

  • Significant experience in high performance sport with a track record in talent identification and development
  • Knowledge, experience and organisational/project management skills to manage athlete development programmes at different stages of the Pathway
  • Strong leadership and communications skills, who can inspire and motivate excellence within the Pathway and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, the duty of care to athletes and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive environment

The role will require the ability to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends to support Pathway events and activities.
