Archery GB is the trading name of the Grand National Archery Society. Archery GB is a company limited by guarantee. We are the UK governing body of sport for archery and a member of the International Federation, World Archery. We are a volunteer-led organisation, run for the benefit of our members, and are governed by a Board of Directors.

Our primary objectives are to encourage, promote, regulate and develop the sport of archery amongst all sections of the community, and to support archers of all abilities, at all levels within the sport to achieve their potential.

Archery GB’s mission

Our mission is to rebuild, reimagine and represent archery in the next five years.

We’re focusing on:

• Membership structure – We’re creating an effective and efficient governance and delivery structure for the whole sport
• Empowering workforce – Connections that engage, recruit and support the thousands of people who create opportunities for archery to happen
• Diversity throughout – A diverse and inclusive organisation that enables everyone to be themselves
• Archer recruitment – Rebuilding a revitalised club network in the aftermath of Covid-19
• Digital first – Putting digital transformation at the heart of what we do
• Pathway and podium – Redefine GB performance archery to become pioneers on the archery world stage

Archery GB’s strategic objectives

Expectations and habits in sport have rapidly changed in recent years and new trends continue to emerge. The way that our members interact with archery is very different to that of even five years ago.

We aim to ensure that we engage with our audience and optimise our ability to grow membership and participation. 

Our ultimate objective is to encourage a strong sense of ownership and engagement by members – current and future –- and to enhance Archery GB’s ability to deliver what our members need in respect of their participation and enjoyment of the sport.

We aim to grow and sustain participation by developing effective facilities, coaching and competition strategies. 

We will deliver and sustain Olympic and Paralympic targets to ensure that British Archery is a leader on the world stage. 

Archery GB’s annual general meetings

Our annual general meetings (AGB) are open to all members of Archery GB and are a chance to vote on issues that affect you, elect board members and have your voice heard.
