It's time to introduce you to another of our brilliant new junior ambassadors, letting them tell their story in their own words of who they are, what they love and why they chose to become an Archery GB ambassador. This month, we hear from Sienna Foster.

"To end the season as world number 1 too is just amazing, it's been the prefect season and I can't wait for 2024."

On Saturday 28 October, the 2023 Recognition Awards, held at Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre, celebrated the individuals and organisations who make our sport so special.

"Archery is rooted deep in our history, and I enjoy every aspect of the sport and being part of the clouting community is like being a part of a very large family."

"The thoughts and takeaways that I get from the programme will stay with me as I grow as an athlete across my whole career, and I really appreciate that Archery GB provided me with the opportunity."

Over the next few months we're going to be meeting each of the Archery GB Board members, learning a bit more about them, their role on the board and their connections to archery. This month, we hear from Victoria Barby.

"I know the idea of competing at the Olympics and all the support and funding that comes with that meant a lot to us, but we will carry on trying to be the best we can and hopefully one day it will happen.”

Over 100 nominations were received across the 12 different award categories, and we were staggered by the impact and quality of nominations for this year’s Recognition Awards.

As a volunteer you can meet new people, support clubs, and have new experiences with new challenges.

"When I head out onto the archery range, I have an escape, an outlet to get away from the stresses. Archery gives me a purpose."

The Awards are proud to honour both non-disabled and disabled women who are leading the charge to create a positive change for the female sporting community.
