Meet the team going to the World Cup in Colombia

The team representing Great Britain at the third stage of the Hyundai World Cup has been announced.

The third stage of the Hyundai World Cup is fast approaching, where our archers will head out to compete in Medellin, Colombia from 13-18 June.

So far this year, Great Britain has had some brilliant success at the World Cup stages. Most recently at Shanghai this May, world number one Ella Gibson brought home the silver medal for the compound women. Also, Penny Healey and Bryony Pitman finished top for the European archers in the recurve women with 6th and 8th place.

At the very first stage of 2023 in Antalya, world number one Penny Healey earned her first individual World Cup title, winning the gold medal and securing a spot at the World Cup Finals in Mexico later this year. Both Penny and Ella are currently sitting on top of the World Cup standings for compound women and recurve women, which determine the eight archers who will eventually get invited to the Finals.

The team heading out to Medellin in around two weeks hoping to continue this success is as follows:

  • Ella Gibson – world number one, 2022 World Cup Final silver medallist and winner of three World Cup stages in 2022

Good luck to all of the athletes!
