In the TRUBall Axcel Hall at Stoneleigh Park, the 2022 National Indoor Championships has crowned its new victors. For the first time ever, the competition also included categories for 50+ athletes.

At the Junior National Indoor Championships sponsored by Wales Archery this past weekend, over 250 junior archers in four different bowstyles came together under one roof shooting for the chance of a medal and the title of 2022 Wales Archery Junior National Champions. We spoke to some of the medalists about their experience of the competition and their amazing wins.

A summer of World and European records being broken!

A second pilot of a new discipline for the UK, Run Archery - a shooting format connecting archery with running – was delivered in September at Redhill Archers, Birmingham.

The GB athletes are bringing home their fair share of individual medals from the World Archery Field Championships.

"The course was top notch, I wouldn’t be able to pick out any certain part of the course that was better than the rest."

"We are sending a small but powerful team to compete, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

236 archers from 21 counties met at The National County Team Championships to go head-to-head across all bow types to compete for their local county.

"Congratulations to everyone who took part," says Katy Cumming, National Competitions and Volunteers Lead. "It's only our second year of the Summer Metrics and we've had a phenomenal response."

"To win this three times, just to win it once was fantastic. I was hoping I was going to do it, but I still wasn't expecting three times in a row, so I could not be happier right now."
